Job Description
If you’re an experienced and qualified Residential Childcare Assessor looking for a new opportunity, this could be what you've been seeking! This newly created role will involve delivering apprenticeships in (CYPW) Residential Childcare plus the delivery of Functional Skills in the workplace in the Stoke-On-Trent and Stafford areas! Working from home and managing a caseload of learners in your region, you'll need a bona fide passion for teaching and learning as well as a flexible approach to work and the ability to work on your own initiative. (CYPW) Residential Childcare Assessor: The role.

• **You must have a background and occupational competency within a Residential Childcare setting to be considered for this position**
• You will be responsible for a caseload of learners in Stoke-On-Trent and Stafford areas.
• Delivering Levels 2 & 3 CYPW to learners in a Residential Childcare setting, plus delivery of Functional Skills.
• Working from home and managing a caseload of learners in your region you will be focused upon delivering a high quality service to candidates and their employers and working towards timely completions.
• £25k p/a (£20800 + £4k car allowance)
• 15p per mile
• 21 days holiday p/a (increasing with time served) + 8 bank holidays

(CYPW) Residential Childcare Assessor: The essentials.

• Assessor qualification (A1, D32, TAQA)
• Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd)
• Literacy & Numeracy qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
• A relevant childcare qualification
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Passion for the industry and ability to motivate and inspire learners
• Flexibility
• Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
• Sound understanding of E-Portfolio assessment systems
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car


(CYPW) Residential Childcare Assessor: Your experience.

• Experience working in Residential Childcare settings
• Experience and knowledge of Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare (formerly CYPW)
• Occupational history and competence within the industry
• Minimum 12 months assessing experience
• Experience in a similar role
• A proven track record of meeting / exceeding targets
• Accurate report writing and record keeping skills
• Observing and assessing learners in their workplace
• Maintaining records of learners progress


(CYPW) Residential Childcare Assessor: The desirables.

• Verifier Qualification (IQA, V1, CAVA, EQA)
• Additional Childcare qualifications


(CYPW) Residential Childcare Assessor: The organisation.
