Job Description
Align is Joint Venture made up of Bouygues TP, Sir Robert McAlpine and VolkerFitzpatrick, it is responsible for delivering the £965m Chilterns Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct contract as part of a section of the new High Speed Rail link between London and Birmingham.

We have an exciting opportunity for an advanced apprenticeship in Construction Management to work with the team initially in central London and then at the works office which will be located close to junction 17 on the M25.

Duties will include working with the key disciplines within the ALIGN project team working on the HS2 High Speed rail link. This will include supporting the estimators with the calculation of materials and labour, working with the design coordinators checking on details of drawings and specifications, providing input for the programmers for work and material schedules. During the construction phase you will be working with the delivery team scheduling work, reporting on progress and liaising with subcontractors. For the first 14 months the position will be in central London and then the location will be moved to outer North West London.

An advanced apprenticeship in construction management deals with all aspects of work within a multi-disciplinary construction team involved with the design and delivery of a key section of the new high speed rail link between London and Birmingham (HS2). The team includes designers, engineers, project managers, commercial and construction managers. Attendance at college will be on a block or day release basis. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable interest in construction management and evidence of team working skills and a keenness to learn.

Minimum qualifications are 5 GCSs A*-C or equivalent including maths, science and English and A levels or equivalent including Maths and Science grade C or above.

Excellent timekeeping and attendance will be essential together with a positive attitude to travelling, there will be periods of study in Langley, Berkshire.

Please note that the successful candidate will undergo a drugs and alcohol test.

Hours - 40 hours per week, 26 days holiday per year
