Job Description

Apprenticeship Assessor / Tutor


Delivery Sectors: Customer Service, Management, Retail


Summary:


To support learners in the workplace through the delivery of the Apprenticeship, to successful completion of their programme. Deliver effective teaching and learning sessions to learners throughout the programme and develop their knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their career goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Apprenticeship frameworks including Functional Skills in Maths and English and vocational qualifications to learners in the workplace through a variety of teaching and assessment methods.
  • Conduct initial assessments with all new learners and employers to verify requirements, commitment and eligibility.
  • Deliver inductions with all new learners and employers to ensure full compliance of all internal and external policies.
  • Adhere to all internal policies continuously to ensure safe and equal practice. -Alert management of any breaches to policies by following the alerting procedure.
  • Ensure all learners receive the highest quality skills development support towards achievement of their programme.
  • Ensure assessment records are accurate and updated after each visit, providing an audit trail.
  • Follow planned weekly visit cycle to ensure learner completions meet agreed performance targets.
  • Ensure teaching and learning conducted meet the required internal and external quality standards at all times.
  • Ensure the quality of completed programmes prior to IV inspection.
  • Continually promote The Apprentice Team services and qualifications with all employers and learners in order to identify new opportunities.
  • Participate positively in all team meetings, providing feedback and suggestions in order to share good practice and exceed delivery expectations.
  • To undertake any other associated duties within the training division, as deemed appropriate by the Teaching & Learning Quality Lead.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold D32/33 and or A1/A2 qualifications (And or TAQA)
  • Must hold PTLLS & DTLLS or equivalent
  • Experienced delivery of Apprenticeships including Functional Skills
  • Current knowledge of H&S requirements within the work place.
  • Knowledge of APL process
  • Full driving license valid for use in UK and use of own vehicle
