Job Description
A leading training provider specialising in apprenticeships are looking for to appoint a Clinical Care Assessor to join their team covering the Leeds and surrounding areas.

What will the role involve?
You will be a home based field worker with a caseload of learners under your guidance. You’ll manage your own diary and will work a 37.5 hour week. You will visit care homes within your region and work with the on-site learners. Using your experience you will inspire, train and support learners to successfully complete their apprenticeship in the workplace, through face to face discussions, remote assessments, use of internet based portfolios, and web based Maths and English learning solutions.
You’ll tailor and devise individual learning plans, identify any additional learning needs, and provide the learner with all relevant information, guidance and resources to ensure their progress is kept on track.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Visiting learners in the workplace to assess/tutor them in their apprenticeship qualifications
• Maintaining documentation on learners progression
• Delivering learner portfolios to agreed standards
• Carrying out learner reviews and work based assessments
• Complying with all quality assurance processes
• Building and developing relationships with employers and recruiting/inducing new learners

You will need to come from a Healthcare Support Workers/Healthcare Assistant background and have worked in Nursing Homes, Doctors surgeries or on Hospital wards. It is essential that you have nursing qualifications, Clinical Level 2 or 3 or HSC Level 2 or Level 3 to be considered for this post.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified assessor with the TAQA, A1 or D32/D33 qualifications. You will need to have a background working in the Health & Social Care sector, ideally to management level. Experience delivering full apprenticeships will be desirable although support will be given if you haven’t previously completed them.


This role is remotely based so you will need excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage your own diary. Access to a vehicle and a full UK driving license are essential.
