Job Description
Are you an experienced in delivering Lifting Operations training in-house or commercially? Looking for an opportunity to gain further qualification/certificates and further develop you career within the training industry?

Alderwood are currently working with a award winning plant hire business, with over 120 employees and a large customer portfolio across the UK and Europe.

Due to extensive growth alderwood are now looking to recruit a Trainer/Assessor to be based in Long Crendon.

Delivering training across CPCS A66 courses and RTITB Accredited Vacuum Lifter courses.

Opportunities for your own Continued Professional Development (CPD) will also be made available enhancing your skills for the benefit of the organization and yourself.

The Job:
• As a Trainer / Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering Theoretical and Practical training to a diverse cross section of construction industry personnel.
• Supervise and instruct on the theoretical and practical aspects of the safe operation of plant, conducting examinations and assessments, design lesson plans and courses that fully engage participants.
• Responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative tasks relating to the Training Centre, which will include booking, processing and recording all training and testing. In addition you will assist in some on-site duties including training and operating of plant supplied by the organization.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Experience of delivering both practical and classroom based training, ideally in the operation of cranes or other construction plant equipment and/or controlling lifting operations in the role of slinger signaller
• Basic knowledge and an understanding of health and safety legislation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, as well as being flexible and having an organised approach to tasks.
• Previous experience of operating cranes or other construction machinery would be beneficial.
• A full driving licence

Salary & Benefits:
• Starting Salary of £25-35K (DOE)
• 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
• 3%/3% Employer/Employee Contribution Pension Scheme
