Hospitality & Catering Assessor: The essentials.

• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA)
• A willingness to gain teaching awards (PTLLS) if not already attained
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car
• Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or Above)


Hospitality & Catering Assessor: Your experience.

• Occupational background in Hospitality & Catering at Front or Back of House i.e. Hospitality Management, Front of House Supervision, Restaurant/ Hotel Manager, Bar/Restaurant/Housekeeping/Reception, Back of House, Senior Chef/Head Chef - demonstrated within the last 5 years
• Experience in a similar role
• A proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to motivate and encourage people
• An interest in helping people develop


Hospitality & Catering Assessor: The desirables.

• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Advanced Food Hygiene Qualification
• Certificate in Food Safety
• Personal Licence

Hospitality & Catering Assessor: The role.

• You will be responsible for delivering apprenticeships in Hospitality and Catering at Levels 2, 3 and 4 including the delivery of Functional Skills in the North West region (including Yorkshire, Cumbria and Greater Manchester).
• Managing a caseload of approximately 40 learners you will be focused upon delivering a high quality service to a broad range of hospitality candidates and their employers.
• Working towards timely completions, you will assess learners in the workplace identifying individual support needs and tracking their progress as you take them through their apprenticeship.
• You will be responsible for delivering Functional Skills so good Maths, English and ICT skills are required.
• This role is home based, so the ideal candidate will reside in the North West region and not be averse to travelling.
• If you do not hold your PTLLS do not worry....! My client loves to develop people and will fund and progress you through this qualification!
• £22,000 to £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)
