Job Description
We are currently seeking an Instructor Technician to ensure our learners receive outstanding teaching, learning and assessment at every point during their journey with us. If you can impart your sector knowledge with energy and enthusiasm then we would love to hear from you.

In return we offer a supportive environment where your CPD is as important to us as the education of our learners and a competitive salary and benefits package.

A bit about us…

Everything we do is about inspiring people to succeed. We are one of the UKs leading providers of skills and apprenticeship training. Our pledge is to ‘deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to every learner, every time’. We want every one of our 4,000+ learners to succeed and more than that, we have the experience, the skills and the passion to help them do just that. We create programmes that are right for learners and employers. We inspire them to achieve, to create their own opportunities and to enjoy their own unique career path.

We firmly believe that if it doesn’t make a difference, then it’s not worth doing.

The role…

Reporting to the Campus Lead you will be combing the responsibilities of Workshop Technician and Instructor with our Automotive learners.

You can expect the role to involve:

  • Liaising with and supporting tutors in delivering practical and theoretical sessions including supporting high needs learners on a 1:1 basis if required
  • Supporting tutors with large class sizes and diverse learner needs
  • Working as an integral part of the team to generate creative ideas to promote and actively support the corporate aim of the business, the Paragon brand and its values “To deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to every learner, every time”.

Criteria required…

  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area
  • To work towards obtaining an appropriate teaching qualification within 2 years of appointment
  • Workshop experience including the use of a range of workshop machines and ability to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations with learners and to other employees of the organisation
