Job Description
Introduction: Are you an experienced Training Specialist within the Rail Industry? Looking for a new opportunity to work with Leading Company on one of the UK’s largest Rail Projects.

The Job:

Alderwood are currently working with a Leading Rail Company looking to expand their Training Provisions, to delivering Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) Operations training programmes.

The role is based in Romford out of their Specialist Training Centre, with occasional travel into London.

• Deliver and adapt training using a range of different interactive methods (including coaching & mentoring) to ensure the learner is at the centre of the learning process.
• As required, develop training & assessment (including: eLearning, classroom learning and simulations) to ensure both organisational and individual needs are met.
• Develop Training for Incident Response
• Deliver and adapt training for control room operators using a range of different interactive methods
• Undertaking accurate, reliable and fair assessments and development of action plans to ensure learners meet required standards.

Person Specification:
• A competent railway signaller/railway electrical control operator/railway incident response manager, or equivalent
• Professional training & assessment qualifications (for example, certificate in the lifelong learning sector (CTTLS) or certificate in assessing vocational achievement (CAVA))
• Knowledge of how railway control rooms operate and/or incident management
• Knowledge railway related competencies, in particular railway operations
• Knowledge of procedures relating to the competence management of Safety Critical Work is desirable.
• Knowledge of railways or other regulated industries

Experience Required:
• Experience of delivery railway control room and/or incident response training
• Experience of using CBTC or SCADA or similar systems
• Experience in the management of stakeholders
• Experience of delivering training or assessment
• Experience of working with a rail environment or regulated industry
