• Occupational competence in Engineering and must have experience in Fabrication
• Good communication skills at all levels

Fabrication & Welding Instructor: The desirables.

• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA, ACWE, AVRA, IQAA, A2)
• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Verifier Qualification (IQA, V1, CAVA, EQA)
• Experience of working with young people/adults

Fabrication & Welding Instructor: The organisation.

• Formed as a charity in 1966 by the heads of leading local manufacturing employers primarily to manage and support the training of Apprentices. Over the last forty years the company has grown considerably and now provides training to companies throughout Lancashire & Greater Manchester. Accredited with all the major government training organisations including the Skills Funding Agency, and working with the best awarding bodies: City & Guilds, Institute of Learning & Management and EAL-EMTA Awards Ltd. Our client has been accredited to the Investor in People standard since 1999, achieving Gold status.

Fabrication & Welding Instructor: The role.

• Reporting to the Workshop Manager on a daily basis.
• You will be responsible for Instructing and Assessing in Welding and Fabrications including Mig, TIG and Stig up to and including Level 3
• Situated in the workshop working with Apprentices predominantly 16-24 age groups
• To Instruct, assess and motivate learners in the workplace and in the client's workshop facility
• To guide them through their chosen programme and integrate Functional Skills and technical certificate to ensure they complete their framework where appropriate.
• A Salary of £25k is on offer
