Job Description

One of Greater Manchester's largest providers of education, training and skills are looking for a Lead Career Advisors to cover areas of Greater Manchester. This rewarding Quality role will allow you to quality assure customer Skills Action Plans and adviser interactions with customers to meet the National Careers Service contract. In line with quality manual requirements, you will be providing effective feedback to aid staff development. You will also be conducting compliance checks to ensure records meet required standards

There are centres in the following locations:

Wigan, Bolton, Salford, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Greater Manchester.

There is an expectation that you will be flexible to cover a number of these areas if needed.

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure customers receive a multi-channel National Careers Service (NCS) offer, personalised to meet individual needs, to develop career management skills, encourage independence and lead to sustained learning and job outcomes.
• Manage a wide range of customers by caseload to achieve targets, specifically sustained employment or sustained learning.
• Utilise labour market information and employer links in order to support customers to achieve required outcomes for sustained employment.
• Conduct regular internal audits of systems and controls for National Careers Service, Matrix and Ofsted, maintaining accurate and timely records.
• Take part in observations, assess own delivery, and act on feedback, including undertaking CPD.
• Deliver personalised support to customers via appropriate channels including through social media, email, telephone, SMS, group workshops, face to face sessions and webinars. The provision is ‘digital by default’.
• Experience effectively using a CRM system to keep customers progress up to date

Required Experience:
• A minimum NVQ level 4 in Advice & Guidance or equivalent (essential)
• Level 3 Assessor's Award (desirable)
• High level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions
• A passion for supporting and developing others
