Job Description
Learning & Development Coach / Apprentice Advisor Arch Apprentices are currently hiring Learning and Development Coaches / Apprentice Advisors across our HR, IT, Digital/Creative and Accounting teams. 

You will be guiding apprentices to plan their activities, develop their skills in the workplace and support them to complete their qualifications through a mix of coaching, industry guidance, workplace visits and liaison activities.  

We are looking for candidates with a passion for coaching and mentoring candidates to complete apprenticeship qualifications and develop their skills in a variety of sector specific roles. 

The Apprentice Coach role includes the following responsibilities: 
• Providing effective, varied and frequent interactions thus ensuring that apprentices achieve their maximum potential throughout the training programme. 
• Liaising and communicating with the apprenticeship employers/line managers to ensure they are fully aware of apprentice’s progress and aware how to support them to meet key milestones. 
 • Map and advise on work completed against the Standard 
• Assist the apprentice with applying knowledge in the workplace 
• Advise the apprentice and employer to ensure the programme remains on track and any concerns are addressed  
• Guide the apprentice to select evidence for their Summative Portfolio  
• Support the apprentice through the Synoptic Project 
• Support the apprentice and employer with the feedback within the Reflective Journal 
• Confirm readiness for endpoint assessment. 

• Preparing and delivering structured lessons and mentor interactions to apprentices 
• Providing appropriate feedback and maintaining records of apprentices’ progress and development 
• Maintaining up to date subject knowledge on ICT disciplines 
• Undergoing regular observations of teaching and learning as part of continuing professional development (CPD) 
• Take a proactive approach to achievement in all classes of the training centre and to the development of your caseload of learners, as well as supporting your colleagues where necessary 
• Complete on-the-job assessment for allocated apprentices 
• Compliance with Code of Practice and Awarding Body and Arch Assessment Guidelines 
• Provide apprentices with timely feedback following assessment of their work 
• Maintain excellent communication links and relationships with host employers 
• Investigate and escalate, where appropriate, any cases of plagiarism or apprentice wrong doing in regard to the assessed assignments.  

• Relevant sector skill knowledge of the workplace and subjects 
• Generic workplace skills knowledge and understanding such as written skills, teamwork, interpersonal, communication and employability etc. 
• Previous experience of delivering relevant apprenticeship qualifications 
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills 

Professional Qualifications: 
• Relevant sector skill knowledge of the workplace and subject Management, Learning & Development 
• Generic workplace skills, knowledge and understanding including; written skills, teamwork, interpersonal, communication and employability 
• Previous experience of delivering apprenticeship qualifications 
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Desirable: 
 • Formal vocational training qualification. 
• Experience in coaching others  
• Experience liaising and working with sector employers 
• Knowledge of sector skills, awarding and funding body regulations 
• Experience of using a virtual learning platform such as Moodle
