Job Description
Do you have a background in Engineering – any of the following: CNC, Milling, Turning, Cutting, Precision Engineering, Fabrication, BIT, Manufacturing Techniques, etc.? PEO Trainer/Assessor: The essentials.

• Full UK driving licence and use of own car
• Formal Engineering qualifications (City and Guilds, ONC, HNC, HND)


PEO Trainer/Assessor: Your experience.

• A sound track record in any of the following; CNC, Milling, Turning, Cutting, Precision Engineering, Fabrication, BIT, Manufacturing Techniques


PEO Trainer/Assessor: The desirables.

• Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA)
• Firm knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes


PEO Trainer/Assessor: The organisation.

• Established as a Specialist Provider of Engineering Apprenticeships nearly 10 years ago, this Training Provider is passionate about Engineering. Based in the heart of the Black Country, with two excellent teaching facilities, this company is renowned for coaching and developing the next generation of Engineers.
• Delivering Levels 1, 2 and 3 Engineering Apprenticeships, they provide a blend of on-the-job training and classroom based learning with the aim of providing Apprentices with the skills they need for their career in Engineering; through hands on experience and backed up by nationally recognised qualifications.
• 90% of their Apprentices gain employment and progress on to the next stage of the Apprenticeship ladder and nearly 85% of their Level 2 Apprentices get to where they need to be in a timely manner. This Training Provider’s portfolio of clients are all West Midlands based and consist of many well-known and smaller Engineering and Manufacturing companies. Their common aim is to create learning opportunities so young people, who for one reason or another, don’t wish to go to University, can gain access into the progressive world of Engineering and contribute to the UK’s reputation for quality Engineering and Manufacturing.


PEO Trainer/Assessor: The role.

• This role will require you to deliver, assess and provide support to learners aged 16-18, engaged in Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Apprenticeships up to Level 3
• This role is centre based in Dudley, deliver classroom based sessions to learners, but will require some travel between centres across the West Midlands region
• You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality training and assessment in an agreed timescale to nationally recognised standards
• Monitoring Apprentice learning and progress throughout the programme and report progress in the agreed format meeting agreed reporting deadlines
• Remain up to date with any changes with the Apprenticeship framework, qualification and assessment processes
• This company will consider a higher salary for an exceptional candidate
• £25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience (although the company would consider a higher salary for an exceptional candidate!)
• 40p Mileage Allowance (from centre)
• 25 days Holiday Entitlement (plus Bank Holidays)
• Company benefits package to be discussed at interview stage
• Further training with outstanding career prospects and progression
• A DBS (formerly CRB) check prior to commencement of role is required.
