Job Description
Regional Qualifications & Apprenticeships Advisor - South Central & South West 

Contracted hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday
Contract type: 12 months fixed term contract
Location: Home based with frequent travel around the South Central & South West

Reporting into the Qualifications and Apprenticeships Manager, responsibilities will include:
  • To support field based assessors to ensure quality of assessment, teaching, learning and compliance processes are met in the delivery of work based qualifications (including apprenticeships)
  • Update and maintain sampling plans in line with company and awarding organisations requirements
 To plan and deliver the quarterly standardisation of assessors and internal verifiers within own area 
  • Participate in the External (Standard Verifiers) meeting, ensuring all requirement action points are covered prior to the meeting  
  • To support development of pilot qualifications within Anchor to support bespoke requests and organisational requirements 
  • Provide support and mentoring for apprentices within own area, including regular visits and facilitating workshops/away days 
  • To support any additional technical and functional skills programmes required
Required knowledge & experience:  
  • Previous experience of working within the care sector 
  • Up to date knowledge of qualification and apprenticeship procedures and practices
  • Assessment and verification of the care diploma up to level 2 
  • Supporting Trainee Assessors from registration to completion 
  • Experience of the RPL assessment and how to implement the assessment into the qualification 
  • Experience of working with learning systems and e-portfolio 
  • Experience of delivering training and developing bespoke workshops desirable
Required skills:  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally, ensuring all information is easily understood
  • Must be able to work independently and deliver against stringent deadlines 
  • Must have good experience of using the full Microsoft packages and a willingness to learn bespoke IT packages - any experience of using e-portfolio system would be an advantage
