Job Description
Are you experienced in the personal finance or banking sectors? Have you worked to a supervisory or managerial level? Are you a qualified finance Assessor? Would you like to train as an assessor?

Alderwood are working with a leading Training provider of Apprenticeships who are expanding their team in the South West region and are looking for a qualified or unqualified Retail Banking Assessor to join their team.

The role is being offered on a full time permanent basis where you will be remotely based. You will need to have your own transport and a full UK Driving License as you will be visiting learners in their place of work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory or managerial position within the banking or personal finance industry.

Role and responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting learners through their specific apprenticeship training and assessment.
• To provide learners with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decision to help achieve their goals.
• Observing and assessing candidates in the workplace and providing feedback and guidance to ensure the learning standards are met.
• To keep accurate reports and learner records.
• Maintain own continuous professional development
• To ensure that the Providing Financial Services Qualification / Framework delivery is planned to meet the Company’s income target and contract.
• To ensure that learners complete their qualification within contracted timescales by applying effective time management systems for the learner.
• Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each learner, create learner portfolios to agreed standards and ensure they are completed in a timely manner
• Examining candidate’s portfolio of evidence and ensuring all standards are met.
• Setting further objectives to ensure standards are achieved.
• Signing off the award when all the achievements have been met.
• Fully comply with all aspects of the Prevent Duty and promote British values in all that we do.

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant industry experience to a supervisory or managerial level.
• TAQA or A1 or equivalent assessor awards (if not already held to be achieved in post within agreed timescales).
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (if not already held to be achieved in post within agreed timescales).
• Role specific qualifications where specified / required (eg Finance – CeMAP).

In return you will receive:

Basic salary of up to £25,000pa (experience dependant)
