Job Description
Amour Recruitment are proud to be working with one of Wales fastest growing training providers. Currently looking to recruit a Youth Tutor - Cardiff, specifically delivering the Engagement curriculum to Traineeship learners. To provide a learning and employability framework to Youth learners, ensuring the attainment of positive outcomes through the delivery of classroom and vocational assessment and training. Salary: £18,000 - £23,000 per annum Duties and Responsibilities: To conduct initial interviews including assessment activities with learners using a range of tools. Plan the learning and assessment process with learners, observing and recording assessments completing all relevant documentation. Complete and maintain accurate records including the ‘individual learning plan’ to the minimum required standards. Deliver sessions which include direct teaching and the use of a variety of teaching strategies / methodologies to support delivery of both classroom and placement based teaching and assessment. Develop and utilise lesson plans for each taught session incorporating topics relating to whole class teaching, individual, paired, group and differentiated activities Provide focused support to those learners who are pre-entry level, or may have specific learning needs Achieve appropriate qualifications in a timely manner Working closely with the learners’ learning coach to identify progression opportunities. Completion of all training and learner related documentation and paperwork to ensure correct content and accuracy, including monthly reviews of progress. Maintaining good working relationships with all key stakeholders Promote business at every opportunity with all stakeholders including learners and employers. To support all administration duties as required including contacting learners who fail to attend placements or centre training, tracking attendance. Work as part of a team to ensure a quality learner experience To attend external meetings and networking events as required To implement in full the Company’s quality policies and procedures To comply with Safeguarding policy and procedure and the code of conduct Personal Specification: Ability to develop course material Technical competence in route ways delivering City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 award in Supporting adults and young people in Essential Skills (desirable) Experience of working with young people PGCE or relevant teacher/trainer qualification Qualified or with willingness to work towards CAVA, ESW Communication level 2, AON level 2, Practitioners award L3 or equivalent Level 5 practitioners award Occupational experience/knowledge and Technical competence in route ways delivering Good organisational skills Knowledge of training industry and Safeguarding Apply today for immediate consideration.
